• –Enable core app features: logging trips and spots, displaying maps, providing field guide content, and tracking foraging statistics.
• –Facilitate social features, such as viewing other users' public profiles and connecting with friends.

• –Monitor and fix crashes and performance issues.
• –Improve and develop new features for the App.
• –Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

• –Service Providers: We share data with third-party vendors that help us operate the App, including Google (Google Maps, Firebase/FCM for push notifications), Bugsnag (error monitoring), and our backend hosting infrastructure. These providers are contractually bound to use your data only to provide services to us.
• –Social / Public Features: If you choose to share foraging spots or trips publicly within the App, that content may be visible to other users.
• –Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process.
• –Business Transfers: If ForagerIQ is acquired or merges with another entity, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We retain your account information and content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us (see Section 9). Upon deletion, we will remove your personal data in accordance with applicable law, though some residual data may remain in backups for a limited period.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• –Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• –Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• –Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data.

• –Location Permissions: You can revoke location permissions at any time in your device settings. Note that revoking location access will limit core App functionality.
